Photo Essay: The Lowcountry of South Carolina

Before I get into today’s post, I want to thank you for spending a small portion of your time reading my work. We have had a boatload of new readers join our ranks in the last few weeks. (Our community is almost 20,000 members strong!) Whether you’re an excited new reader or a loyal veteran, I couldn’t be happier to have you here.

As you know, every Monday and Thursday I write a new article about mastering your habits, improving your physical and mental performance, and living a healthy life. And I like to take a broad view of health and happiness, talking not just about exercise and nutrition, but also about having a sense of purpose, building better habits, and contributing to the world around you.

As you should expect, I try to live out these principles myself (although I often fail to do so). And that brings me to today’s post. The images below are from a recent road trip through South Carolina.

Taking photos, creating art, and exploring the world around me is an important part of my broad view of living a healthy and happy life. Of course, photography doesn’t excite everyone, but I hope that this photo essay inspires you to find your own way to create something you can share and inject a sense of adventure into your life.

As always, all photos are my own.
